Welcome Brooke! GU/MSB Instructor and Doctorate in Physical Therapy


Please welcome Brooke Darst Rice who will be teaching HS 285, Management of Musculoskeletal Injuries at Globe University/MSB at the Woodbury campus fall quarter. In June 2008, Brooke received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota.
Since 2003, Brooke has worked full-time in the health and fitness industry. Her experience includes fitness administration at the YWCA, personal training at The Sweatshop in St. Paul, and community intervention with the University of Minnesota Department of Epidemiology. We are thrilled to have Brooke on campus!

Welcome Chris Dixon: Entrepreneur, Instructor, Coach, Athlete


Globe/MSB Plymouth campus welcomes Chris Dixon! Chris received his master's degree in Education in Applied Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota. He additionally has a B.S. in Sport Management with a coaching minor from the University of Minnesota.


While at the U of M, Chris spent 5 years as a triple/long jumper on the Men's Track & Field team winning a Big Ten Championship and NCAA Midwest Regional Championship in 2003. In 2002-03 he posted a triple jump of 51'6" thereby ranking him 20th in the nation at that time and 3rd all-time at the University of Minnesota. Chris was also a strength and conditioning intern and speed coordinator for the football team under head coach Glen Mason.

Currently, Chris owns Insider Training, Inc. - an in-home personal training company. Prior to starting his own company, he worked at Bally's, Northwest Athletic Club, and Life Time Fitness.

Chris will be teaching HS 325 Methods in Sports Training and looks forward to not only teaching, but learning as well while at MSB/Globe College.

Welcome Pro-Triathlete Dan Cohen!


Dan Cohen will be teaching two classes for the Shakopee campus (HS 265 Exercise Physiology and HS 325 Methods of Sports Training) and HS 405 Online Coaching and Personal Training Skills at the Plymouth campus. Dan received his BA from St. Mary's University and his M.Ed from the University of Minnesota. Dan was the 2003 head coach for the Leukemia Society's Team in Training. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), an A.C.E. certified personal trainer, and a Level II USA Triathlon certified coach. Dan has gained invaluable triathlon training and racing experience competing as one of Minnesota's top 10 triathletes for the past 6 years. He was nominated 2000 “Rookie of the Year” and 2006 “Most Improved Triathlete” by Midwest Events Magazine. He has completed six Ironman races and has many podium finishes as well as several overall victories. He turned professional in 2007. He is the co-owner of SCS Multisport LLC (http://www.scsmultisport.com) where he is a professional endurance coach and consultant. We are thrilled to have Dan on our staff and look forward to his many contributions!
