L.A.Fitness is Hiring!

Mark Little, a student here at Globe/MSB, currently works at the L.A. Fitness in New Brighton. He emailed to let me know that they have five clubs open in the Twin Cities right now and by the end of this summer they will have four more clubs opening.

He is looking for recent or soon-to-be graduates interested in a career in personal training. Several full-and part-time positions exist for personal trainers. Youth Fitness Program Part Time Job Opportunity starting June 24th


When: Camps Run June 24th- August 7th
9am-10am Monday-Thursday
Where: Mondays, Wednesdays-Edina Minnesota
Tuesdays, Thursdays – Lakeville, Minnesota

What:
You will be teaching and leading youth exercise with kids in community education program utilizing medicine balls, bodyweight, speed ladders, and physioballs. Payout is $18/hour with possibility of 4 hours/week and great experience for your professional resume.

Who:
We are looking for a motivated and responsible exercise science or related field student that would be interested in gaining some valuable experience in the fitness field with flexible schedules. Must have a CPR certification.

Internship Opportunity with New Leaf Fitness

Hello HFS Students!

Here is a brief overview of our internship responsibilities at New Leaf Fitness. Overall, a good mixture of some business training, sales training, research, and practical application.

· administrative duties - updating spreadsheets, organizing files and magazines
· Validation of New Leaf Software/hardware
· Scientific Research on Exercise Prescription and Exercise Program Accountability
· Market Research on what motivates people outside the health club to exercise
· Market Research on New Leaf products in the Corporate Wellness environment
· Putting together PowerPoint sales presentations for TRUcal, etc.
· Handling incoming inquiries
· Contacting Accounts for Supply sales opportunities
· Training DVD project
